Everyday there are about 13000 ton solid waste being delivered to the landfills in Hong Kong, which makes the landfills almost full. A lot of the ‘garbage’ are discarded products, which means the garbage are also products designed by some designers. As a product designer, Kevin Cheung started questioning himself. He believes rather than keep designing and bringing solid waste to landfill, product designers actually have a role, they have to educate the customers. Instead of keep making new things, a lot of the products that we use everyday, can be made by waste that we produce everyday. This the message Kevin wants to deliver a upcycling product designer.
