FUTURE TRAVEL EXPLORER
KIAN VAN DER ENDEN
In 2013, Elon Musk of SpaceX released the preliminary paper and name for the Hyperloop. What is the Hyperloop? Imagine being able to go from Amsterdam to Paris in 30 minutes. Imagine being able to go from Shanghai to Chengdu in less than 5 hours. A way to travel that is faster than a plane, but as comfortable as a train. This is what Kian van der Enden, Applied Physics student and Chief Powertrain (engine) and his team from TU Delft in the Netherlands have been building and exploring. A truly unreasonable future where your home or work location is irrelevant and a country becomes one giant connected city.
The TU Delft Hyperloop team is competing in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod competition to define transportation of the future. They are bringing together design and levitation to create a safe, fast and affordable vehicle that is reliable and efficient at speeds over 1,200km/h.
